With two optometric physicians, Dr. Niki Patellis (License #OA05204, Therapeutic #TO00468) and Dr. Barbara Koslow (License #OA05148, Therapeutic #TO00638), certified by the Board of Optometry in the management and treatment of ocular disease, four licensed opticians, and a knowledgeable staff, the practice strives for excellence in comprehensive vision care.
Dr. Niki Patellis and Dr. Barbara Koslow offer comprehensive eye examinations, with the use of the latest technology to diagnose and treat eye diseases, including but not limited to glaucoma, infectious diseases of the eye, trauma and dry eye syndrome. Patients are examined for eyeglass prescriptions, contact lenses (including hard to fit), and laser vision consultation. Each patient presenting for a routine eye exam is carefully screened for glaucoma, macular degeneration and other diseases of the eye. Research shows that one out of four children have vision problems that interfere with their ability to learn, and that 20/20 vision may be present, but that binocular or accommodative issues may be affecting one's academic performance. Binocular and accommodative testing is always part of a routine eye exam at Kinnelon Eyecare. Family care optometry is provided in a warm, caring, and relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on personal attention.
The professional ophthalmic dispensing staff includes three licensed opticians. Kostas Patellis (License #TD2063), Richard Palumbo (License #TD2063), Arlette Ribeiro (License #TD3351), are personally responsible for assisting each individual in choosing the proper frame, lenses, coatings and tints that will best meet each person's needs and optimize their visual performance. Contrary to popular belief, all lenses are not created equal and only quality lenses that aid in good vision are used by the office. Unless one's insurance demands otherwise, all work is done in an in-office lab by the opticians.
Amongst hundreds of frames to choose from, the selection ranges from designer frames, sunglasses, rimless frames, kids frames, and safety glasses.

Appointments can be made five days a week for eye examinations, with convenient Saturday and evening appointments available. Emergencies are taken and the doctors are available after hours and weekends. Frame selection does not require an appointment and is available six days a week.
